Accounts & Sign-up

To set up an account with Powerball Hub, follow these steps:

1. Select “Create Account” from the top navigation on any page

2. Enter the required personal details (you must be 18+ and live in New Zealand)

3. Confirm your email by using the verification link we send

4. Complete identity checks (needed for certain prize claims)

5. Add a deposit option and you can start participating

In most cases, registration takes only a few minutes. You’ll need an active email address and valid identification such as a NZ driver’s licence or passport.

To confirm identity and meet New Zealand requirements, we may request:

Primary identification (choose one):

  • NZ Driver’s Licence
  • NZ Passport
  • Overseas Passport

Address confirmation (if your current address isn’t shown):

  • Utility bill (issued within the last 2 months)
  • Bank statement
  • Official letter from a government agency

Please ensure documents are clear, readable, and show all corners. Photos or scans are acceptable. Verification is usually completed within 2–3 business hours.

If you need to reset your password, you can do the following:

1. Open the “Sign In” page from the top menu

2. Select “Forgot Password?” under the login fields

3. Enter the email linked to your account

4. Look for the reset email (you may need to check your spam folder)

5. Use the link provided to set a new password

For security, the reset link is valid for 12 hours. If the email does not arrive, please contact support.

Playing the Games

To buy a ticket on the platform:

1. Sign in to your Powerball Hub account

2. Open the game you want to enter (Powerball, Keno, and others)

3. Choose numbers using Quick Pick or select them manually

4. Choose how many upcoming draws you want to enter

5. Add the selection to your cart

6. Review the details and proceed to checkout

7. Confirm the purchase using your account balance

Your ticket is saved to your account straight away, and a confirmation email is sent with the details.

Powerball:

  • Select 6 main numbers (1–40) plus 1 Powerball number (1–10)
  • Draws are held each Wednesday and Saturday at 7:25 PM NZT
  • Jackpots begin at $3 million and can increase until won
  • Prize levels depend on how many numbers match

Keno:

  • Select between 2 and 10 numbers from 1–80
  • Draws run frequently throughout the day and night
  • Prizes are set based on the amount of matches
  • Results are available quickly after each draw

In general, Powerball offers larger jackpot outcomes with scheduled draws, while Keno focuses on frequent draws and smaller prize structures.

Payments & Winnings

Several payment options are available for deposits:

Cards: Visa and Mastercard (usually processed right away)

Bank transfer: From a New Zealand bank account (commonly 1–2 business days)

POLi: Online banking payments (typically instant)

Apple Pay/Google Pay: Available on supported mobile devices

To make a deposit:

1. Log in to your account

2. Open “My Account” → “Deposit”

3. Pick a method

4. Enter the amount (minimum $15)

5. Complete the secure checkout

Deposits are processed through encrypted systems, and full card details are not stored.

Most prize handling is automated, depending on the prize level:

Smaller prizes (under $900):

• Added to your account balance within around 3 hours after the draw

• Can be used for withdrawals or future entries

Mid-range prizes ($900 – $18,000):

• Usually credited within 24 hours

• Additional checks may be required

Larger prizes (over $18,000):

• A team member will contact you within 36 hours

• Verification steps and a claim form are required

• Payment may be completed by bank transfer or other approved methods

Lottery prizes are generally tax-free in New Zealand. You can view ticket outcomes in “My Account” → “My Tickets” → “Results”.
